Incredible Abandoned Gothic Revival Church in DETROIT ~ Pastor Died!

Exploring abandoned places is my hobby and finance it all out of my own pocket and the donations I get from the people who love watching the documentaries we make... A small donation would be greatly appreciated! ► Check out Danny his channel Michigan Detroit, it used to be the city of dreams, a place with culture and diversity, but since the 1960s it fell into a downfall, there was a great exodus of the city and this left a path of abandonment on its way. Today we will show you the aftermath of these events and take you to some of Detroit’s many abandoned churches, we will take a fascinating tour through an abandoned Gothic Revival Church, afterward a 1960s Body of Christ Church and as the cherry on the cake, we will end this documentary with a Vietnamese Church. Let’s start this off with the Woodward Presbyterian Church, a magnificent building that was constructed in 1911 in Gothic Revival style by the architect Sidney Badgley. At its height, there were more than 2200 church members and it even got the title of being the most beautiful church in the greater Detroit area. Unfortunately, after the exodus of Detroit started, its members started to dwindle, at the turn of the century the church had only 200 active members left, its funds started to diminish and the building started to fall into disrepair, this lasted until the year 2005 when the pastor passed away and as a result, the church was closed indefinitely.
