Inside Israeli ghost town where 1000s have fled in fear of massacre at hands of Hezbollah

NOTHING stirred on the deserted streets as we surveyed the burned out wreckage of what was once a family home. The 23,000-strong community in the once bustling city had run for their lives from threat of massacres and rape at the hands of savages and a rocket and drone blitz. But this was not a southern Israeli kibbutz village ransacked by Hamas terrorists on October 7. This was the eerie ghost town of Qiryat Shemona yesterday on the northern border with Lebanon, where locals fear horrors which could soon dwarf that day of infamy. Nick Parker reports.
