Okinawa Karate Dojo Visit | Yushinkai Dojo | Volume 1 | Ageshio Japan

This is a video of a karate dojo called Yushinkai, where Goju-ryu Hanshi 9th dan Kinjo sensei occasionally teaches at in Aichi Prefecture. Kinjo sensei started teaching them about 6 years ago, and they have now improved to the point where they have many prizewinners in the 2nd Okinawa Karate World Championships. They not only do competition karate, but also have a unique Okinawan karate movement, Gamaku, in their style. Japan Karatedo Yushinkai is a karate dojo run by Yuji Funakoshi sensei with 600 members and 10 branches. Its main dojo is in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture. Yushinkai is a school that integrates a Jiu-jitsu and Naha-te karate style, a style which has been passed down in mainland Japan for over 90 years. Kumite is full-contact, with more than 30 contestants competing in all-Japan competitions every year, bringing a result of many all-Japan champions. Kata practiced at the dojo is centered on traditional Okinawan karate, and they have had champions in various tournaments.
