Prophet Remark Row: Massive protest had erupted against ex-BJP leader Nupur Sharma over her controversial comments against Prophet Muhammad. Protesters demands include arrest of Nupur Sharma & ban on people commenting against the community. Protesters hurled rocks at police in several towns and cities and police used wooden batons and tear gas to disperse the protests in Hyderabad, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Moradabad and Kanpur. Some of the demonstrators hurled rocks at security forces from rooftops. UP CM Yogi Adityanath-led government ordered bulldozer drives to demolish illegal constructions of accused in violence.
