Brussels is the capital city of Belgium and home to the European Union HQ. We start today’s walk in the very center at the Grand Place. This market square has some opulent buildings like guildhalls and the city’s Town Hall. There are many Scottish football fans due to a match in the city. We walk out of the inner old town to the Mont des Arts from where we have a good view of the gardens and centre. The Parc de Bruxelles is nearby and next to the Royal Palace of Brussels, which we will both quickly pass. The streets are quieter in this part of the city. We slowly head towards the old town again after the Egmont Palace. Our path leads further down to the centre where we end the walk at the small yet famous Brussels sight: Manneken Pis.
