Composer James Horner was on a roll in the 80s, and the short and simple score he wrote for this Spielberg-produced sci-fi film sounds like a mix of his Cocoon and Land Before Time scores. This brief scene showcases one of the best statements of the main theme, which as far as I can tell is not present on the soundtrack album. Starring Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Elizabeth Peña, Frank McRae, Michael Carmine and Dennis Boutsikaris. Directed by Matthew Robbins. Partly written by Brad Bird, and produced by the golden trio Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
