The Cambridge Waltz

The Cambridge Waltz is an English Country Dance published by Thompson in was adapted by Pat Shaw in 1964. It is a proper triple minor longways dance, but it can be easily changed to a duple minor. The Playford Assembly includes this dance in the section “A Trip to Netherfield“. The animation plays at 1 bar per second normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set.
