How to make your very own macrame cat ears! This is an intermediate macrame pattern with the main knot being the double half hitch knot. Please make sure you are comfortable tying this knot before starting this project.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to attach your cat ears to a headband, but you can use this pattern on other objects like teethers too!
To keep this pattern as simple as possible, I secure the loose ends to the back of the cat ears with hot glue. I also attach a felt backing to make it look nicer and have a cleaner finish. Alternatively, you can use a crochet hook to pull the loose ends up the knots on the back side and secure them this way.
💛 My Guide to Macrame:
🧵 ROPE USED:
- 4mm Single Cotton Cord from Ganxxet in Soft Gray
- Each cord is measured 3.5 feet long. If you use thicker rope, I recommend only using 3 ropes for each ear instead of 4, but this is a personal preference.
