Willesden (London) & Twickenham (Middlesex). SV. Group of puppies on the floor. A pair of hands pick up Midget, leaving the rest playing on the floor at the Mayhew Home. TV. Mr Gibson walks towards Miss Hunt the Manager’s daughter, with Midget in his hand. SV. Telephone box that Midget was abandoned in. CU. Midget inside the telephone box playing on top of the slot machine and nosing round the phone. SV. Miss Hunt feeding Midget from a bottle with two small children looking on. CU. Cat clinging to wire looking on, much as to say “What’s all the fuss about?“ SCU. Miss Hunt feeding Midget. CU. Two young girls watching. CU. Midget eating from bottle. CU. Older dog looking through bars as much to say “Don’t take him away.“ SV. Pan as Midget is brought out and placed in a basket with an RSPCA Inspector holding it. Lid is closed and basket is placed into RSPCA van. CU. Young Mary Stewart aged four, waiting anxiously on doorstep for Midget to arrive. SCU. Inspector takes Midget from basket and hands him to Mary.
