Another tremendous record of ethereal, melancholic Black Metal bliss, from the Elemental Cavern duo. Arriving only a few months after their latest full-length, and released simultaneously to a new album on Final Agony, “Atualua“ sees a return to their brilliant shoegazing style of black arts, mostly on the same page as “Viimeinen Juoksu“ and “Vanging Laulu“, although with some higher focus on Post-Punk elements similarly to their record earlier this year or their mid-era in records like “Unituli“. There’s also a few moments of more old school Black Metal influence in here, as well as some great use of dreamy synthesizers. Anorher, always welcomed piece of introspective, spiritual art from one of the best and most boundary-pushing bands the genre has seen this century.
