’There are injured everywhere’: Israeli airstrike hits Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces said it killed a Hamas commander in an airstrike on the highly populated Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The military said the strike killed several Hamas militants and caused underground tunnels to collapse, bringing down several buildings. Gaza’s health ministry said at least 50 people were killed and about 150 wounded in the Israeli bombardment on the camp. Footage from the camp showed dozens of survivors standing on the edge of two large craters and searching for bodies in the rubble. Israel has continued its bombardment on the Gaza Strip since Hamas militants attacked southern Israel on 7 October, killing thousands and taking 240 hostages.
