This is the swashplate and servo mechnism I designed for my 700 class 3D printed helicopter. I’m using 6mm BBs and printed carriers to make ball joints and the swashplate is a printed ball and socket with a 15x24mm bearing allowing for rotation. The rotor shaft is a stainless tube and the rotor head is attached with a m2 cross bolt. The rotors are held on with a m2 bolt threaded about 10mm into PLA with a 10x15x4mm bearing to reduce rotating friction. The rotor bolts held up to 2700RPM so far but its sketchy swinging 35cm blades held on by 2mm bolts. I’m using 9 gram servos as they’re cheap and I wanted the design to not need anything special.
