Restoration Rusty Broken Axe

Hi, today I am restoring a broken axe head. I bought it at a flea market and found a through crack in the steel with an average thickness of rust. However, the steel of this axe is good and old-style. Well, I have started the restoration and, as a result, will get a useful tool. The first thing I did was clean the axe head from rust via rust remover liquid. Then, I widened the axe crack and welded it using a welding machine. After that, I sanded and adjusted the cutting edge, where the seam remained visible. To hide the ugly seam, I added a decorative layer, turning the ugly seam into a beautiful pattern. This was done by using a chisel and sand paper. Finally, I carved the handle of the axe out of hornbeam wood, giving it the desired shape. As always, I created a simple and reliable sheath from a piece of thick leather for this axe. Also, I showed a small test of my axe. Don’t forget to share this video. Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention! Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
