Long Life Ceremony for Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche in Bodh Gaya, December 18, 2011 His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje lead the long life ceremony, along with Rinpoches and spiritual representatives from the various Kagyu lineages, the lay and monastic community of Rumtek and the like from all over the Himalayan Buddhist community, requesting the 14th Kunzig Shamarpa to extend His life for the sake of the lineage and all sentient beings.
