Convection Currents in Infrared - Thermal Imaging

This infrared video, captures the convection currents of a bowl of hot water. You can see the eddies and convection cells clearly, which makes for an almost mesmerising video. The setup was near a window, so occasionally you can see a small temperature drop. Recording using a FLIR SC640 with 24° lens and ThermaCAM Researcher Pro . Palette: Glowbow.
