How to Rappel with a Backpack and Tactical Gear

Rappeling with a backpack is no big thing. You just need to know how to do it and work on this basic skill. I recommend to master rappeling without any gear, before you start to rappel with full gear and backpack. When I go climbing, my backpacks are often light enough to stay on my back without the need to use a chest harness. When the pack gets more heavy, attaching it to the belay loop and let it hang between the legs, can be the better option. But this also depends on rock quality, lighting conditions, time and how much space you have around you.
