Rise of the Ronin | Quality - Performance - Ray-Tracing | PS5 Modes Comparison
- Rise of the Ronin features three display modes on PS5: Performance, Quality and Ray-Tracing.
- Quality mode improves some settings such as resolution, shadows, anisotropic filtering and some post-processing effects.
- Quality mode runs at dynamic 1440p with a common resolution of 1260p.
- Performance mode runs at 1080p dynamic with an average resolution slightly below this value at around 1044p. In return, it offers up to a maximum of 60fps.
- The ray-tracing mode adds global ilumination enhancements, though only on a few elements, making it a purely anecdotal mode. Its average resolution is slightly lower with respect to the performance mode.
- The temporal reconstruction used for this game undoubtedly makes a difference by greatly improving the image quality.
- It is possible to activate VRR in this game, although in no case we will obtain a framerate higher than 60fps. Due to the instability, it is advisable to use it with the performance mode.
- The quality and Ray-Tracing modes present constant stuttering problems.
- Team Ninja offers us its usual version of optimization, which is not exactly the best, unfortunately. In my opinion, the only mode I would recommend for this game is the performance mode due to its demands during combat and the lack of notable differences with respect to the other modes.

- El modo performance se ejecuta a 1080p dinámicos con una resolución media ligeramente por debajo de este valor, en torno a los 1044p. A cambio, ofrece hasta un máximo de 60fps.
- El modo ray-tracing añade mejoras en la iluminación global, aunque sólo en unos pocos elementos, lo que lo convierte en un modo meramente anecdótico. Su resolución media es ligeramente más baja con respecto al modo rendimiento.
- La reconstrucción temporal usada para este juego sin duda marca la diferencia mejorando enormemente la calidad de imagen.
- Es posible activar VRR en este juego, aunque en ningún caso obtendremos un framerate superior a 60fps. Debido a la inestabilidad, es aconsejable usarlo con el modo performance.
- Los modos calidad y Ray-Tracing presentan problemas de stuttering constantes.
- Team Ninja nos ofrece su versión habitual de optimización, que no es precisamente la mejor, por desgracia. En mi opinión, el único modo que recomendaría para este juego es el modo performance debido a sus exigencias durante el combate y la ausencia de diferencias notables con respecto al resto de modos.
