World Bantamweight Fight (1956)

Rome, Italy. Boxing fight for a world’s bantamweight title between Italian Mario D’Agata (deaf mute) and Britain’s Robert Cohen is in progress. SV. Both boxers exchanging well matched blows. SV. Cohen pounding the back of the D’Agata’s neck and being separated by referee. TV. Cohen moving into D’Agata with series of violent right crosses. SV. Both boxers fire into an opening. LV. Top of the ring. SV. D’Agata handling it out to Cohen who keeps his head well down. LV. Top of the ring with both boxers sparring about. SV. D’Agata hits Cohen with a right and sends him down with an added push and he hits the canvas. He gets up but changes his mind and goes down again. SV. Jubilant D’Agata jumps into his second’s arms. CV. The vanquished Cohen showing severe cut above his eye. LV. Masses of torches burning by fans lighting their newspapers. LV. The ring with the delighted fans swarming over it.
