A very free interpretation of a classic Howard Jones track. Instead of using the chord structure and melody of the original, I’ve taken inspiration from various parts of the production. Like the synth-brass parts and placement of some drum parts. I always felt the lyrics could work in a sort of human vs. tech relationship, hence the vocoder. Sort of like a love relationship seen from the perspective of a computer to a person.
