They may not match the value or prestige of Persian, Chinese or Turkish carpets, but Moroccan rugs still make a fine collector’s item for locals and visitors to the country. Over the centuries, Moroccan carpets have been weaved by women but sold by men. But this is now changing, as women join cooperatives to take charge of the income they make from their work.
