Made to suit their own style of DJing, each tune is tailor-made for the kind of rolling blends that allow for creative mixing. Strongly techno-influenced, the whole EP is packed with the deep funky basslines that fans of Genic will be familiar with. ‘Chonka’ was a firm favourite of Ant TC1 and featured as his opening/closing track at many of his last U.K. tour. Black Barrel has since asked to do his own remix of this one, a sure-fire seal of approval. Title track ‘Choice’ builds and twists through looping vocal edits and rolling bass, ‘Inspo’ features a serious acid synth line and driving percussion and ‘We Reckon’ develops into a weighty stomper from another distorted a looping vocal sample.
