Jupiter Through A Skywatcher 10“ Dobsonian Telescope on 10-30-11
Here’s Jupiter drifting through the field of view at 240x magnification. Since this planet is so bright and tends to produce an overexposed image most of the time, I attached the Moon filter to lessen the intensity and bring out more detail and contrast.

• 10“ (254 mm) Dobsonian-style Newtonian
• 1200 mm focal length (f/)
• 2“ Crayford-style focuser with “ adaptor
• 8x50 right angle viewfinder
• Solid rocker-mount with Teflon bearings and tension clutch
