Ireland went under water! Cars floating in water, worst flooding in Cork and Midleton Hundreds of homes and businesses were severely flooded after parts of County Cork got more than a month’s rainfall in less than 24 hours during Storm Babet. The town of Midleton was one of the worst affected as premises were swamped with floodwaters to a depth of over a metre, and its main street was impassable for a time. People have been evacuated from their homes due to flooding on South Terrace and Rutland Street, Cork City from Storm Babet. A status orange rain warning has been extended for Waterford, while a separate orange rain warning has been issued for Wexford and Wicklow. Some local Met Éireann weather stations in Cork have recorded 115mm of rainfall over the last 24 hours, which is roughly a month’s worth of rain in one day. #stormbabet #cork #ireland #flooding #midleton #corkfloods #heavyrain #weather #climatechange #babet #uk #news #today This channel publish
