On April 26, 2000, Aaliyah performed her smash hit “Try Again“ live in San Francisco on MTV’s “Total Request Live,” hosted by Carson Daly. Aaliyah was MTV’s darling and a shining star. I believe if she was still here she would’ve been hosting more shows or even had her own show. She did an amazing job hosting one episode of TRL that same year. She had so much range in terms of her incredible talent of entertaining people. We miss you, Aaliyah!
