Today’s issue is about the Omsk Region. Omsk is a great city in Siberia.
Omsk was the White Capital of Russia during the Civil War.
The amazing artist Mickhael Vrubel was born in Omsk. His artistic thinking was detached from any mainstream artistic movements of his time and he managed to implement a genuinely new aesthetic and philosophical system in the visual arts - symbolism.
And the great Fyodor Dostoevsky spent four years in Omsk exile.
