Insane Blackout Custom PC for a Metal Band, ft. @trivium & Matt Heafy

Sponsor: Thermaltake Ceres 500 TG on Amazon - We built an insane, fully custom streaming & gaming PC for the metal band Trivium. This project took years to complete and involved working directly with case modder Xin Kai (who briefly sold a commercial version of the case, actually! just without the customization) to custom make and tune emblems, larger brackets for the motherboard, a wider frame to fit more parts, and a secondary bracket for a capture card. Matt Heafy (“Kiichi Chaos“) spoke with us about inspirations prior to starting this project. He told us that he liked two themes: full-on RGB Shibuya / Akihabara OR the color black and some deadly angles. Because Steve’s favorite album from Trivium is In Waves, we went with the second -- a black-out build with sharp edges -- inspired by the album art from In Waves. Using Xin Kai’s base model for the frame and our customizations, we set forth on the build -- but it wasn’t easy. This was a fun collab!
