Graveyard for Wagner soldiers is demolished

Last year, a plot of land in southern Russia began to be used to bury fighters killed in Ukraine. The graves were marked with wooden crosses and wreaths that bore the insignia of Russia’s Wagner Group. Many of the men buried at the location in Bakinskaya were prisoners who were recruited by Wagner when Prigozhin announced a pardon for any prisoner willing to fight for six months for Russia on the frontlines in Ukraine. After the reported death of Yevgeny Prigozhin the cemetery was demolished.
