DIY Egg Candles

Hi Everyone! Today’s DIY is a really cool spring craft. We’re hollowing out eggs and turning them into candles! For this project you’ll need a candle making kit (or at least wax and wicks) and a couple of cleaned out eggs. For my eggs, I was careful to only crack off the tops when I was cooking and cleaned out the shells with water and white vinegar. Allow the shells to dry prior to starting the craft. I ended up needing to use hot glue to keep the wicks in place, but otherwise pouring these egg candles wasn’t much different than pouring any other type of candle. The candle making kit is an introductory one I got a while ago at my craft store. Since it was my first time using that kit I made a video on it: The eggs themselves that I used were brown, I don’t think that matters, it’s purely aesthetic, so use whatever you have and be sure to keep the carton.
