I was asked to teach this recently for a student, and totally forgot how great this song was, but also how much of a hidden gem this solo is! 🎸🎶 amazing blues phrasing, and hugely distinctive licks in this one, will be stuck in your head for days, and let’s not forget about those crazy two tone bends and all that control needed to get them sounding good! I had a go at playing about with the Saxophone melody too, obviously I’ve taken some artistic license with it, but it gives you the idea if you needed to learn how to play it.
