HOW TO PAINT AN INDIGO BUNTING into an existing painting with Suzanne Barrett Justis In this time lapsed, oil painting tutorial , I will be showing you how to paint a brilliant blue, Indigo Bunting into an existing painting. If you saw my last video, I painted a a gray horse in a pasture, lit by warm light. It was inspired by a scene on one of my trips to Roan Mountain, TN. I worked on a long canvas ( 48 x 24 ) and had to stretch out my composition a bit. I was happy, over all, with the composition but I still felt it needed something. This is where the bird came in. So today, watch as I take you from start to finish on a painting of a bird. I was able to do this using only one good brush and got it done in about an hour.
