How to Draw the Cloud Knot [4x4 Celtic Knot #5]

In this video I show you how to draw the “Cloud“ Celtic knot. I call this the cloud knot because the circular, waviness of the perimeter reminds me of clouds from oriental paintings. Now that I have posted several 4x4 knot tutorials, I thought it would be a good time to step up the difficulty. This is an intermediate-level knot due to the amount and placement of the break lines. In total, there are 8 break lines and they are pretty close to each other. The break lines are arranged in pairs to form L-shaped brackets. This creates 4 additional corners in the design. Corners are the most difficult part of a knot so having to do 8 corners in one design can be tricky. Previous designs in this series are very forgiving of going outside the perimeter and over break lines. This design is not. I find drawing Celtic knots to be very relaxing and meditative.
