A word of warning about cheap xeon e7 v2 cpus

A discussion about cheap xeon e7 v2 cpus going around on ebay and such sites. To sum it up, the e7 v2 chips don’t actually go on the same lga 2011 socket as x79 chips (e5 26xx v2/v1 and e5 46xx v2/v1) they are based on proprietary boards made more for blade servers and super computers with xeon phi and are NOT compatible.
