Joyce DiDonato as Vitellia in Mozart’s La Clemenza Di Tito. Recorded in 2002 with Eric Hoeprich on clarinet and Frans Bruggen conducting. This recording is really the best recording of this aria I have heard. She conveys the angry, regretful, and retrospective sides of the aria to perfection while maintaining a even tone and volume throughout her range. Almost every single singer in the aria, mezzo or soprano, with the exception of Kasarova, cannot hit the low G with an even tone but Joyce simply nails it!
