Peeps Through The Window Of The World No. 32 (1935)

Titles read: “PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD“. Various locations of events. In South Africa, we see a man driving a Rytecraft Scootacar along a road. The police (on motorbike and sidecar!) pull him over. There is no reverse on the car so a mechanic picks up the front bumper and pulls the car round to face the opposite direction. Also in South Africa we see a plague of locusts coming in to land on a field. Workers spray them with insecticide. One of them runs his hands through a trough full of squirming locusts - yeuch! In Vienna, Austria, we see various shots of a section of road that has been laid in the old Imperial Mews. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists who act without thinking are shown the error of their ways by uniformed men who shout at them (natural sound) when they cause danger! Not quite sure what is the purpose of this - some kind of road safety awareness I suppose. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOC
