Нашыя сьвяты/ Our Holidays (with English subtitles)

A film demonstrates an identical inconsistency in Belarus by means of three different holidays: Midsummer Night, Victory day and Birthday. Together with Belarusian students we are visiting a celebration of an old traditional holiday Kupalle (John’s night, or Midsummer night). We take a look at the Victory day celebrations on 9th of May, promoted by state discourse. After short talk to a war veteran at a square, we are moving to a few young activists, who keep hunger strike as a support sign with a political prisoner Mikalay Autuhovich. The third part constists of a story, how it is - to celebrate Birthday at military quarter. Фільм дэманструе стык розных ідэнтычнасьцяў Беларусі, прадстаўлены ў розных сьвятах.
