Yes, Hickstead was a fantastic horse but I admire Eric so much for his perseverance and courage. He is the one who found Hickstead, he didn’t give up even if it was really hard and he made him a champion. These two had such a strong bond, you could see it that they trusted each other. They wanted to win and they worked hard to achieve what they strived for. Hickstead was more than a talented horse, he was exceptional. He was a champion and his heart was as big as the jump he flew over. We love you Eric and Hickstead ♥
