Winter Speed! (1932)

United States of America? Introductory intertitle reads: “Who has the biggest speed thrill in winter? The steel shod skater has his sensations.“ L/Ss of a speed skating race on a frozen lake. Crowd noises are heard on the soundtrack - no commentary. C/U of the winning skater. He wears a woolly hat and a jersey which reads something like: “New York Curb (?) A.A. Exchange“ “But, the nearest approach to flying is the terrific drop of the crack skier.“ L/S of a very high ski jump. Spectator reactions “oohs and ahs“ to a skier who makes the jump. C/U of feet of a skier as he commences his journey down the ski jump. Reverse angle shot shows that on landing the skier fell. Note: item length includes opening title sequence.
