Russia Flexes UNSC Muscle, Sends Israel Strong Signal With Palestine Debate Date | Ukraine Fallout

Russia, which currently holds the presidency of the UNSC, has refused Israel’s request to reschedule a key debate. The debate at the UN is to be on the Palestinian issue and is currently scheduled for April 25, Israel’s Memorial Day. Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, had conveyed to Russian officials that it is on this day that the Jewish state mourns fallen soldiers and terror victims. He said it would be insensitive to hold a UN debate on a sensitive subject like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Memorial Day. The move is being widely seen as Moscow’s retaliation for Jerusalem’s support to Ukraine amid the ongoing war. #israel #unsc #russia #memorialdayisrael 00:00 - INTRODUCTION 01:33 - HOW MUCH HAS ISRAEL REALLY BACKED UKRAINE? 02:41 - ISRAEL INCHING TOWARDS MILITARY SUPPORT TO KYIV? 03:37 - ISRAEL’S DOMESTIC CRISIS 04:35 - THE ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
