I was already in Donetsk in September 2022 when the referendum to join Russia was held, so I had the privilege of witnessing the courageous people of Donetsk & other cities vote. Over the course of 5 days, I saw people going to polling stations in apartments or courtyards, voting when courageous volunteers came to their door (courageous, because these volunteers were in many areas risking being killed by the frequent Ukrainian shelling, but risked their lives to enable those who couldn’t go on the final day to vote to be able to vote from home), and voting on the final day. No one will ever convince me these people were “forced at gunpoint“ as desperate, lame, Western media claimed. To the contrary, the only one putting voters at risk was Ukraine. In any case, while I won’t be in the Donbass during the Russian Presidential election, its worth remembering that these regions which the West clamours to say aren’t part of Russia indeed chose to be part of Russia, as did Crimeans. https:/...
