This routine is SO difficult. Especially for me at 36 years old, no longer dancing every day like I did when I was 18, and having the most sedentary year of my entire life this year. I had to do intense conditioning for 3 weeks to be able to dance it, and it was in the middle of teaching a brand new intensive, choreographing a TV show and choreographing a musical, so there was a LOT going on and I must say, I’m quite proud of myself for a solid, one-take pass at it!! It feels so nostalgic to dance jazz. Dance is usually very emotional for me, but jazz choreography of this specific nature (there are many types of jazz) is more mathematical/like doing an ice skating short program!
