WATCH: Gunman Killed By LAPD SWAT During Hostage Rescue Following Violent Crime Spree

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) released body camera footage of police activity where a gunman was killed by LAPD SWAT during a hostage rescue following violent crime spree. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at approx. 4:10 p.m., the LAPD’s Central Division began receiving calls of an armed man committing several crimes in the area of Eighth Street and Broadway. During one of the crimes, the suspect approached a man on the sidewalk near Eighth and Broadway, held a gun to the man’s face and pulled the trigger, but the weapon did not fire. The gunman also entered a business in the 700 block of Broadway where three family members were inside. The suspect then pointed a gun at the family and opened fire, resulting in one of the bullets grazing the side of a 14-year-old boy’s head.
