Norman Long sings ’The Barrows in the Walworth Road’. Brief introduction to Norman Long’s act is done by an unidentified man wearing roller-skates with a cushion tied to his bottom. He makes a joke about slow-motion, saying he told a girl a story and it was three hours before she smacked his face - “There’s slow motion for you!“ London (probably Pathe Studio). M/S of Norman Long, sitting at a piano. He introduces a song called ’The Barrers in the Walworth Road’, but first tells us ’a little cockney story’ to get us in the mood. The story involves a London man who was asked if he’d had a good time after a visit to the country - he said there was two pound ten to collect on the empties. He then goes into his song, sung in a cockney accent (a bit Dick Van Dyke) about all the things you can buy from the barrows in the Walworth Road.
