World Health Organization announces three-day Gaza ceasefire for mass vaccination campaign of Palestinian kids The so-called “humanitarian pause” will start Sunday in central Gaza and last just eight hours each day for three days to allow the vaccination of some 640,000 children against polio, a senior UN World Health Organization official says. Earlier, a 10-month-old baby was partially paralyzed due to an outbreak of a mutated strain of the virus as hundreds of thousands of children missed vaccinations because of the Israeli war in Gaza.
