Nina L. Khrushcheva: The Lost Khrushchev | The New School for Public Engagement

Nina Khrushcheva is the great-granddaughter of Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev and a member of the faculty of the Julien J. Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs as a scholar of public policy, culture, and media. Professor Khrushcheva’s talk is entitled “The Lost Khrushchev—A Family Journey into the Gulag of the Russian Mind.“ Professor Khrushcheva edits the Window on Russia monthly feature for Project Syndicate, an international association of 386 newspapers. Professor Khrushcheva’s byline has appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, Financial Times, and The Nation. After receiving her PhD from Princeton, she was a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study. The Institute for Retired Professionals (IRP) provides a stimulating and supporting environment for serious peer learning to people of all backgrounds interested in intellectual exploration. The IRP is open to retired or semi-retired people who want to participate actively in cooperative learning and instruction.
