Andreas Nezeritis (1897-1980) was a famous Greek musician of Greek National School. He took music courses at his city, Patras, studied at the Athens Conservatory and later studied under the composer Dionysius Lavrangas. He composed large orchestral, operatic and piano works.
This is the fourth part of the String Quartet in D major, Rondo giocoso, composed in 1937. The Quartet has strong French, Impressionistic influences.
