Acquaintance with music began when a tape recorder appeared with CDs and cassettes. This tape recorder had a radio pouring out a variety of musical genres, which were carefully selected by the boy and recorded on cassettes, over time a whole box of records was accumulated. At that time, he was attracted to loud and aggressive music, such as rock and metal. Great-grandmother stubbornly turned off this music, saying that it was music for Satanists. Later, when he became more selective in music, he began to ask his mother to buy him CDs, expanding his musical knowledge, so he got Depeche Mode, Prodigy and Nirvana records. One day, the composition Moby was heard from the speakers of the tape recorder, this music was not like anything previously heard. Smoothness, uniqueness and atmosphere were a truly special sound at that time, which the future musician would remember for a long time. When he went to tennis, on the way to training, he listened to the tapes on the cassette player that he recorded from the radio. If he came across a song that he particularly liked, he took his big Panasonic out of his pocket, put the cassette on rewind, counted 30 seconds and enjoyed the track again. After moving to Moscow, he began to communicate with like-minded people, among them were guys involved in music, who suggested to him that there is a sequencer in which you can write music. At that time, he was already familiar with many genres, from classical to heavy electronic music. Based on the knowledge that he had, at that time he wanted to work in the house genre, bringing something experimental to it. From the beginning of 2020, the artist began a new stage in his musical activity. He began to study the FL Studio program in more depth, experimenting in it, began to come to his unique sound, creating a recognizable handwriting. In the same year, he created his own group VKontakte, began to write mixes and sets in house, dnb, ambient, dub_techno, future_garage and glitch genres, which were published by large musical communities. The author’s music is clearly inspired by nature. Sleney writes music from the depths of his soul, without adhering to the canonical sound and rules. That is why his music is so atmospheric and original. In some of his compositions he uses field recordings, due to this, his compositions become more lively, atmospheric and nostalgic, evoking warm memories in the listener. At the moment, Sleney uses FL Studio to write his music and create podcasts, it is in this program that all his ideas are implemented. In the future, he wants to switch to analog instruments.
