ANDINA: STAY LO X ATSUSHI TAKENOUCHI

ANDINA is a music film documenting a once in a lifetime performance by the Butoh Dancer and Artist Atsushi Takenouchi, and showcasing the debut release of the musician STAY LO. Atsushi Takenouchi expressed his interpretation of STAY LO’s, ANDINA, in a one off, exclusive UK performance, which was open to the general public. ANDINA is the debut release by STAY LO, and comes from a collection of songs inspired by the artists environment of East London. Using synthesisers, self recorded sounds and ambience, along side samples influenced by neighbourhood clubs, STAY LO uses their environment to help create their incredibly atmospheric music. Directed by Photographer & Film Maker Rob Baker Ashton, this film serves as a document of Atsushi’s performance, and the collaboration between Atsushi Takenouchi, STAY LO and Rob Baker Ashton. ANDINA has been nominated for the Best Music Video Award at this years British Urban Film Festival.
