Biden struggles to read from teleprompter as he mistakes new policy

Joe Biden struggled to read from a teleprompter on Tuesday, muddling the announcement of a major new policy. The US president, 81, spoke at the NAACP national convention in Nevada, where he  was expected to announce a new 5 percent cap on rental increases nationwide, but instead mistakenly said he would be capping raises of rent to just $55. Mr Biden has heavily relied on teleprompters during public appearances, often trailing off and losing track of his thoughts without one. But the president on Tuesday appeared to lack sufficiently good eyesight to decipher what was on the screen in front of him. #biden #democrats #president
