Intention Setting 101: The Do’s and Don’ts of How to Set Intentions

The loophole in intention setting is that as much as we want to personally benefit, or benefit one group over another, we need to understand that any self-aimed intention, including those that aim to benefit one group over others, is essentially destructive, and that constructive intention setting is that which is aimed at none less than benefiting all of humanity and nature. When we emphasize the superiority of one group (e.g. family, tribe, or nation) over another, it can lead to conflict and war. We would thus be wise to focus on the whole system, all of humanity benefiting, sensing, and reaching the qualities of love and bestowal. If we view the whole of humanity as equal, as a single soul that was originally fully interconnected at the beginning of creation, and later shattered so that we would return to the final and complete integration, and that we are all parts of that single soul, then our view of reality would be much more beneficial and healthy.
