Russia has upgraded its TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system to improve its accuracy. According to the Vladimir Pimenov, the CEO of the Signal Research Institute, they were able to improve the accuracy due to a new navigation system. During an interview, Pimenov said the new system “improved the accuracy of the operation to single metres.“ The upgrades comes as Rostec said that it is developing a new heavy flamethrower system TOS-3. During an interview with Tass, Rostec official also said Russia is creating a new line of improved tank shells.
